The Peltophorum tree, also known as Copper pod or Yellow Poinciana, is a medium to large-sized deciduous tree native to tropical regions. It is characterized by its bright yellow, fragrant flowers, feathery, bipinnate leaves, and a greyish-brown, rough bark. The tree can grow up to 15-25 meters (rarely 50 meters) tall and has a fast growth rate. Peltophorums are popular for ornamental landscaping due to their attractive appearance and are also known for their drought and pollution tolerance.
